GERINGOFF MS NORTHSTAR
The NorthStar has exceptional performance characteristics even in the
most adverse conditions. Featuring a low profile head, large diameter lower
sprockets on the gathering chains and long flat divider points, the Geringhoff
NorthStar provides outstanding crop retrieval and a smooth passage of the
plant eliminating unnecessary loss.
The heart of the NorthStar is two stripping rollers equipped with four
stalk knives each. The knives are manufactured from special alloy steel that
maintain a sharp edge for extra long life, and can quickly be adjusted to
ensure optimum performance. The parallel cutting arrangement will slice
through 98% of the stalk leaving a quickly deteriorating plant behind.
The Geringhoff NorthStar header was developed in particular for the
conditions experienced by North American corn growers.The perfect adaptation
of the stripping units and the body-work to the actual conditions make this
corn header a real alternative.
High performance, extreme stability and minimum service allow a
cost-efficient and reliable product for many harvest seasons.
The cross feeding auger which is 17 3/4 inches (the largest in the
industry) ensures an optimum feeding of the harvest material within the combine.
The long and very flat divider noses as well as the flat setting angle
ensure an excellent function on loaded corn.
To lower operating costs, the NorthStar corn header has been constructed
without time-consuming and fault-inherent setting facilities. For instance,
the gathering chains have been precisely tensioned automatically for the
whole service life and the position of the stripping rotors can be infinitely
adjusted.
